..When you are not?

...And the weird thing is, you know you are telling the truth but suddenly have a strange, self-conscious feeling that the other person thinks you are lying....so you start having the same feelings / sensations / nervousness that you would have if you were really lying?

Lol this sounds convoluted but has anyone had this happen?

  1. well, if they chose not to believe you bring hard evidences. Such as witnesses or pictures or whatever. Do not act offended as this is the first key that you may be dishonest.

  2. I only worried when I was in fact lying.

If I was being honest...then I didn't care what they thought because I couldn't offer them more than the truth.

  3. no

  4. WOW!  I deal with this on a daily basis with my boss.  You are not alone!  I think it happens when you tell someone something that they dont want to hear.  I take it as a very high sign of disrespect, in fact there are few social things that someone can do to me that are more disrespectful.  I usually follow up with "I dont appreciate being called a liar".  If they didnt say anything, dont sweat it.  Let it roll and it will get easier to deal with.  Sooner or later they will take into consideration your track record of telling the truth. and  As someone else posted, having hard evidence will put them in there place.  And the bottom line is sometimes you gotta do a scrote check, and say to yourself "well that was the truth,  F them if they dont believe me".  Oddly enough I still deal with it.  What I hate is when someone asks you a question that they already know the answer too, and based on your assumptions you tell them what you believe to be the truth.  Then they say "no, thats not right blah,blah...".  In that case you should ask them "if you already knew the answer then why did you ask?"  I usually just ignore people like that.  Or give them a yes or no answer.  You will probably run into quite a few people out there like that.  Focus on trying not to over read people as well, that might be what you have issues with.

  5. Yes, it's quite unpleasant. It usually happens if I already feel intimidated by the other person.

  6. not so much as i have wondered if someone else, someone in particular, were lying to me.
