Have you ever written on money?

I always have money that has writing on it (money amounts) and notes like a grocery list! It's like, don't people have paper or something? Or is money the only paper like material they own?

  1. Sometimes I like to write something on money to see if the same bill comes back to me.  I haven't had any luck yet. lol

  2. No.  Writing on money is actually illegal in the United States.

  3. No, they probably don't have anything else to write on.  When you're not at home or work or school, how often do you have a piece of scrap paper to write on?

I've only ever written something that was supposed to be put on the money - a local bar in my town has a tradition that anyone who comes in for the first time should leave a memorial.  You write your name and anything else you want on a $1 bill and they tape it to the wall (or ceiling or door frames or bar, etc).

  4. Only once.

I broke up with my boyfriend Joe. His new girlfriend was driving him around and desperately needed gas. He called me asking for the $20 I owed him from 6 months ago. I heard through mutual friends that he cheated on his new girlfriend. So, I wrote on the 20 dollar bill with a sharpie "Joe is cheating on you". He never contacted me again, but he is still with his girlfriend.

  5. No I haven't ever written on money. I do hate seeing writing on money. I actually saw my aunt write on money once before >_<

We had a family gathering and I didn't have a birthday party that year, and she wanted to give me some money as a late birthday present and she didn't get me a card. So she grabbed a $20 bill out of her wallet, grabbed a sharpie and wrote "Happy 14th birthday J" I thought it was pretty funny and it made us all laugh for some reason. She didn't want to write my whole name out so she just did the letter my name started with.

^^^^^I've saw someone holding up a dollar that said B "One" R to a glass wall once. I walked by, noticed it had B and R written on it, didn't think anything of it and then a few minutes later, realized what they wrote!! Hilarous!

  6. I borrowed a dollar from a friend, who loves a good laugh.  So when I gave him back a dollar, I sharpie-d a "B" and an "R" on the bill, changing "ONE" to "*****".

If you find a dollar like that, it was me and I hope it makes you smile.

  7. IT's called laziness... I do it too... usually when I'm running to the store with everyones lunch order on each persons money.
