  1. Yes. I was offered a council house (i was heavily pregnant and baby's father hit me then chucked me out) then the day i was due to sign the tenancy agreement the council said that another family had been given the house. They waited till i had arrived at the appointment to sign the agreement, kept me waiting for over an hour before telling me. The family who got the house were immigrants. The house would have been perfect for me as all my family lived in the area. The council gave me another house (when my daughter was 3 months old and i was sleeping on my mums sofa) which was miles away from my family but would not offer me another house for a full year if i refused to take it.

I lived there for 7 years and was tormented by the neighbours son and his friends cos i would not let him throw mud at my windows (my fault of course) council refused to help, police could not be bothered. In the end my doc wrote to the council as my hair was falling out and they gave me another house within 6 months.

  2. I have noticed foreigners being discriminated against quite often (especially on yahoo answers)

However, your point is interesting - i am sure people of different races other than white are discriminated against daily even if they are British - which is really sad but it does happen. Racism is quite a problem in this country.

Also there is a lot of bigotry between the English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish. I am sure at one point i have been discriminated against because i have a scottish accent and because i am a redhead. Some people just have a problem with anything that is different which, again, is very sad.

  3. No, never.

Being white, middle class, British born and male has been a massive advantage all through my life. I can't think of a single occasion when I have been discriminated against.

When I have experienced failure, it has been my own fault, nobody else's.

  4. just go on the council housing list. you are immediately discriminated against. if you get arrested! if your getting a house search, if you are starting up a charity or after a mortgage. if you are unemployed! or you get caught for a driving offence going for a housing grant.......the list is endless. the indigenous people of this country are second class citizens as far as the labour party are concerned. the human rights of immigrants come first every time.

  5. if you are british working class then all the time

BUT BEWARE OUR TIME WILL COME !!!!

  6. All our working, law abiding life - that's why we left!

  7. No. It's a myth.
