Have you flown SPIRIT AIRLINES lately? You have to pay extra to pre-assign your seat AND extra for baggage.?

BEWARE!!!!! Spirit airlines claims to have the lowest prices, but not when you factor in the cost to check in any luggage, and I do mean ANY. You are entitled one carry-on per passenger. That's it. Any more will cost you $20 per piece. And if you're travelling with someone and would like to guarantee you'll be seated next to each other, well that's extra too. I'm travelling with two small children and they WILL NOT guarantee we'll be seated together unless I pay $5-$10 per seat. Times 3 with a connecting flight= $100 more my ticket now is. Delta was cheaper. STAY AWAY FROM SPIRIT!!!

I agree that it is a bit shady of airlines to be charging all of these random fees instead of just raising fares.

On the other hand, if you are checking a bag (which uses up more fuel) and I am not, doesn't it stand to reason that I should have to pay less than you?

It just goes to show you that you always need to read the fine print.
