Have you found you see more?

"In the Dark"

When will

you love me?

Your still silence

presses in,

a kiss not requited

and yet...

This will not

encourage me to cease,

night and day I linger,

allaying my doubt with

conviction.

Intensity building, tumbling

over reason into madness

until sight is not

seeing but frenzied blindness.

And in the dark,

you will not

see me,

but my love.

  1. I do not know why but... I saw a shining heart-shaped light in a dark room... the heart not the love but a symbol for it... and now... the heart is fading and the eye cannot find its way. But wait! With love comes hope, though the symbol may die the heart can still be guided by Love, not light....

  2. I tend to feel around the dark...

  3. Welcome back!! I found myself lost in the dark... wondering where you were. You left a void in my being... I longed for your shared vision... your prose...

    The last line speaks volumes!

    Much love always, Temari

  4. This one is intensely moving and written beautifully in your inimitable style.  There is a profound logic in the dichotomous words "tumbling over reason into madness   until sight is not    seeing but frenzied blindness."  The last stanza is suggestive...seeing the love and not the lover.  This poem was well worth the wait.  Thank you.

  5. you usually see more when something is missing

    if you allow it.

    and why wait for love?

i really like reading all you write

i bet this is the flow ppl strive for.

    it just does.

and dagnabbit i didnt get a notice from YA about this..

  6. "sight is not

    seeing but

    frenzied blindness"

    A Con-verb!!

  7. I love this poem. End of story. It was just so captivating and dark, but light at the same time. It was almost calling to me, in a way. Absolutley fabulous.

  8. Dog-gone you all for staying on page...beautifully written

    on a very hot day...

We all need love in one way or another,

Now I'm off to feed the giver supper!

(And I *might* wash the coffee cup*)
