Have you gotten CRPS/RSD from a car accident?

I was in a car accident last fall and was diagnosed with CRPS in my left arm. I have since been experiencing symptoms in my left leg as well. I have been getting passed around from doctor to doctor and from treatment to treatment trying to get this under control. I understand that I may have a long road ahead of me.

So to those of you who are affected: what have you done treatment wise? How are you coping when you have a really rough day? And if you have a young child (I have a preschooler) what do you do to stay.....fun?

  1. I got RSD/CRPS following a knee surgery when I was 13. I've had lumbar sympathetic blocks, been on many medications, have had a spinal cord stimulator, physical therapy, and recently had a low dose ketamine infusion which has put me into remission. As far as coping I've worked with a pain management psychologist who has helped me learn to cope with so much pain, and learn to relax and take myself through certain steps to try to relax. As far as taking care of your preschooler see if you can try to do some fun cooking or some other types of activities for entertainment. Good luck!
