I applied online to a health benefits co. as a customer service rep, It was an open house but i couldn't go and applied online. Then i was invited to come in person for an hr. long assessment...online personality assessment, review, print and initial our applications. Then we were told we would hear back from them in 3-5 business days. Does this mean you pretty much got the job?

  1. I got my job by applying in person and being very polite. My boss told her boss she liked me because I was very polite and had good manners.

I sat upright, didn't have any distractions as I waited (didnt play with my phone/ipod), and I always answered with "ma'am" or "sir."

    Hopefully you get the job

  2. They didn't tell you anything to say whether or not you got the job.  They did invite you in to meet them in person, so your application must've told them you have at least the basic qualifications.  The decision between applicants probably hasn't even been made yet.

  3. No.  They just want to see how much you'll let them jerk you around.

  4. no, they always say that...just saying they will call isn't for certain...if they don't call you, call them back after those five days or so...and if they don't answer leave them a message let them know that you really want the job. and if they still don't call back...leave a few more messages...and then if they still don't call..well...u didn't get the job

  5. I don't think it's a sure thing at all. There may be several more people who went in at different times for an assessment. But you only have a couple day left to wait. Good Luck!
