My grandfather loved them but no one could stay in the same room because it smelled rotten. Wolfgang Puck says it tastes like vanilla.

Durian, yes.

They are a very weird fruit and very sticky.  I suggest oiling your knife before you cut into one of those

OMG I love it!! I hate the smell but love the taste. It is so hard to cut it so I usually buy it at this oriental store by my house called 99 ranch and they sell pre cut. Saves all the trouble and time. If you go to some Asian restaurants other than Chinese or Japanese you can find some durian smoothies and it is GOOOOOOD!!! OMG I want some right now...

Yeah, I've also tasted durian. It has a nasty smell but still tastes good!
