Have you had a happy slapping near miss?

I was pushing a pram and a man in the passenger seat of a van leant out his window and tried to slap me.

Luckily I bent down to check on my child at that moment.

A few days later he tried it again - only I saw him and shouted at him.

I didn't get his number as he was driving so fast - but if he had hit me it is possible I may have let go of the pram since he was going so fast and it would have hit hard.

I don't want to think what could have happened if I had let go - the pram was on a very steep hill. I didn't tell the police as I know they couldn't do anything - but keep your wits about you if you are a pedestrian!

Maybe a little stick-on curved mirror on the handle of your pram to keep a look behind you?  Keep a pad handy too, to get the plates.  He may try again, but now you at least know he's out there.

Don't ever be afraid to report something. There may be other people reporting the same incidents and the police will assign more to the area. If he's doing it evry day around the same time, they'll watch the area. They may know who he is from a previous arrest. But, the bottom line is aomeone is harassing you and trying to assault you...report it to the police.

is,nt  that braking the law now and for some one to do it with a pushchair it so wrong  it should not be done anyway if that person doe it again make sure u get the number plate

You need help.  If it's so dangerous to walk about with your baby, stay home or find a safer location.  Perhaps you should think about the result of your baby coasting down a hill...and you watching, powerless to stop it.

Your baby is precious, and should be your PRIMARY consideration.

You sound like an accident waiting to happen.
