And if so... did you have surgery and how soon after you discovered? What did it feel like and how long after surgery was your recovery time?

  1. About a month after I discovered it I had surgery. It was in my lower right groin. After surgery I felt fine, the next day some pain, but not enough to take a narcotic pain pill like Vicodin. Before you are wakened, I believe hey put some Novocain in there to numb things and you won't feel anything. Being a male, I did have lots of swelling, especially in the private parts, but it all subsided in a few days. I don't know about a female. They put mesh inside between the skin and the muscle, better than behind just the muscle. I was fully recovered in about three weeks but with some lifting restrictions for a short period. If you have one, go get it taken care of, because it will only grow worse, and the surgery will be more painful. I wish you the very best of luck young lady, hope all goes as well for you, as it did for me, except for the swelling.
