Did it hurt?

If you *haven't* had laser eye surgery but you wear glasses- is there a reason why you haven't had it done?

  1. while the possible negative aspects of the surgery somewhat detour me, the cost is really what's holding me back

  2. My mom wore glasses all my life up until about 4 years ago. I didnt even know she had the surgery until one day we were going somewhere together and she was driving without glasses and I asked where was her glasses and she says oh I dont need glasses and I was like the h**l you dont. I thought she was losing her mind then she told me she had the surgery and was able to see as soon as the surgery was over. I went in for an intial consultation and when i heard one of the side effects could be over correcting your eyes and I would have to wear glasses if that happened and no chance of wearing contacts that sealed the deal for me. I still got my contacts. I hate hate hate wearing glasses. I was also told that I would probably need to wear reading glasses after the surgery so that kind of threw me off too.

  3. my mom had it done and as soon as she woke from the operation she said she could see much clearer and was seeing better further distances so i say yeah go for it

  4. i had it done 3 years ago it really was worth every penny and one of the best things ive ever done! it wasnt sore a very simple procedure!!  i had it done with optical express they were so friendly and reassuring and i had lots of aftercare checkups afterwards everything went well so go for it!!!!

  5. I wear glasses but id like to get laser done.  Im scared a bit though but think I will go for it eventually.

  6. Yeah I had it Feb last year. It doesn't hurt at all, but is a bit uncomfortable. You can see them doing stuff to your eyes as they are open and you can smell the laser when they are lazering your eyes (smells a bit like burning hair!) After it you have to wear sunglasses for a week when you are outside as your eyes will be sensitive to the light and so that no dust gets in it. In bed you have goggles (very attractive).

I have had no problems and Its been over a year since I had it done.
