Called TWC to upgrade service to digital / HD. After a WEEK, they sent 2 guys out that said my house needed to be rewired. They couldn't explain why, and refused to do it. They also didn't have the HD DVR with them saying the company ran out. They gave me a regular DVR and said to call TWC to be put on a waiting list for the HD.

I called TWC, put my name on a waiting list and explained the guy told me someone else had to come out and "rewire the house." Again, ANOTHER WEEK, a different guy came out and messed around with the wires and changed some connectors. Still no HD DVR.

Called back about the waiting list and was told "there's no list, go pick up a DVR." Went to their office, was told "no DVR here, we'll send someone out." ANOTHER WEEK, waited on the guy to come out, never showed up. I called TWC, on hold over an hour, was told "I see we failed to show up today. I can reschedule for you in a week and 1/2." Still no HD DVR.

Please share your experiences with TWC.

  1. If you live in a former Adelphia area, you must understand that upgrading a system from a bankrupt company is not cheap and will not happen overnight. It will happen, but there are budgets set each year. As far as the HD DVR, you should be able to go to the local office and pick one up. Do not hesitate to speak to manager once you are there.
