Do you know what it feels like when your not pregnant and you had to pee and held it too long? After you pee you have this pain in your pelvic area. Well I am having that now, but I don't have to pee, didn't hold it. What do you think it is? Is the baby just sitting funny?

  1. I'm not quite sure which pain you mean.

I've had cramps down my sides when I've held off peeing in the middle of the night, and my belly goes really swollen. The cramps ease off as I pee!

I've also been punched and headbutted in various areas of my private bits, which has more of a tingling pain than an ache. It goes when she behaves herself.

    I'm 35 weeks gone

  2. I have the same exact feeling and I am 32 weeks too.  I have had this pain for about 3 weeks on and off now, but it is worse after I use I pee.  I asked my doctor because I thought I had a UTI but I didn't.  Then he checked me to see if maybe the baby was engaging already, but he wasn't.  My doctor never could figure could find a cause so he just wrote it off as the baby growing and pushing.  I have talked to other people who had this feeling too, so it seems to be normal.

  3. Yep, baby is pushing on something it shouldn't be pushing on..... If it gets worse or doesn't go away after you try and change positions..then I would say call your doc. Other than that, its normal.

  4. I'd call your dr. It could be a UTI or bladder infection. Both are common during pregnancy. I would start drinking more water than you already do to help flush your kidneys, and drink cranberry juice or buy some cranberry vitamins. They are safe and over the counter. But definately get in to see the doc.

  5. Hiya

Did you ask your GP about this problem?

Im 32 Weeks too with Baby #2 and this problem i had with both my pregnancies. The health professionals just say this is normal so im not worried about it.

    Hope your well :)

  6. YES! i'm 32 weeks too.

sometimes my baby likes to do what i call a "bomb dive" straight onto my bladder. when he does that i feel like i'm about to wet my pants on the spot! he bounces off and plays somewhere else in there, and then i feel like i've held in a pee for way too long, and i feel almost bruised in the bladder if that makes sense.

when i wake up in the night with that pain, i know he's been using my bladder as a trampoline again.

    cheeky babies! :)
