Have you heard about the new "Superman" movie(s)??

Question

I heard that they are making new superman movies that will have sequels to them and that they are "ditching" the "Superman Returns" movies.

Who do you think would be good actors to play Superman (Clark Kent) and Lois Lane?

I was kind of thinking maybe Jake Gyllenhaal or Colin Farrell... who do you think?

I wish the actor from Smallville would continue his role of Clark Kent. However, then the series would have to stop, so sorry, I change my mind. lol    

hmm...this is tougher than I thought. I'm not much into recent movies, not really into most actors these days. Actresses, though, that's something else...lol

There was only ONE Superman, played by Christopher Reeve. If they wanna start a new superman-like franchise, they should do this:

L.L. Cool J is Jor-El  and sends his son on a spaceship as his home planet explodes.  When the spaceship lands on Earth, Chris Rock and his wife Tatiana M. Ali find it and raise the baby they find inside it in Smallville.  When their son, Chris Kent, grows up, he goes to New York and becomes Superman, played by LeBron James.  Rhianna can play Lois Lane (or Lasanda Lane).  Denzel Washington can be Lex Luthor (or Odisyious Watson).

IMDB says the next movie is not going to come out until 2011. I am sure that Jake Gyllenhaal would be on the short list. I am reasonably sure that Brandon Routh is not.

They were able to revive the Batman franchise to the point where TDK sold over 71 million tickets to date. "Superman Returns sold 30.4 million tickets in 2006. Yet SR cost a whopping $270 million and TDK cost $185 million.  I am sure that they are hoping that someone will be able to rejuvenate the Superman franchise.

Predictably, they will try to figure out how to make Superman into a darker character. After five films depicting Superman as a sunny person, the reboot may be even more of a disaster.

i really dont see what was wrong with brandon routh in superman returns. the movie sucked but he was the best thing in it. i thought he captured clarks sweetness and bumbling nature and supermans nobility perfectly. i think that just because he wasnt christopher reeve, there was a minor backlash against him, but i still think a lot of people liked his performance, and im one of them. that said, i have heard that he is unlikely to star in the next film, so i guess if i were to choose another actor to play superman i'd go with........another unknown. cos there is noone in hollywood right now who has the right superman looks and personality. other than brandon routh
