On march 29 from 8 to 9 p.m., many large companies and people will unplug everything. It was done last year at Sydney, but it'll be worldwide this time. Join by going on earthhour.org. Please join and I don't care that this is not a real question.

  1. Yes, I will turn my lights and other electronic items off

  2. I signed up a couple weeks ago, glad to know others are too!

    Thanks for spreading the message.

  3. Does this include hospitals and patients on life support?

Somehow I don't think some of the hogs of the energy world, computers, are going to be touched by this.

  4. Yes! And also don´t forget Project Lights Out 9999. This year again we will try to swich off the lights for 9 minutes. When? 9th of September at 9 pm, local time. Last year I could not inform all, but help me to realize this event. Here is my site: www.otumba.com/lightsout9999 I also need more people who wants to join me to make mi site much better. You can reach me here: cancunhans at hotmail. Thanks!

  5. Yep, and I plan to use as much electricity as I can during that hour to show my total disgust with this sillyness.  I urge everyone else to join me and put an end to this nonsense once and for all.

  6. Interesting idea. My first thought is that the cost of restarting, reheating and relighting everything after a period of cessation may counteract any energy savings.

Unless it was for a significant amount of time.

  7. Yup sure have! Thanks for gettin the word out, I have been doin the same...Earth Hour is such a great idea, def. a step in the right direction!

  9. I'm not... I'm turning all of my electronics and lights on to advocate for energy. So yeah.... Nobody cares.
