Have you heard of Joel's Army?

Their existence came to my attention about twenty minutes ago, so I know next to nothing about them. So, can anyone tell me anything about them?

Who the h**l is Joel, for starters?

Are they a cult we can laugh at, or a cult we need to worry about?
