Have you heard of Worcester, UK?

I'm from Worcester, and I've always wondered how well know it is as a town, but I was just wondering if you've heard of it, and if so, what for?

I know this is a weird question, but please answer anyway :P

  1. I live not far from Worcester, in Kidderminster, and its a really nice place.


  2. Yes, I used to go there quite a lot.  Nice shopping, great buildings like the cathedral and also horse racing very close to the centre.

    Oh, and flooding when it gets very rainy!

  3. Yep pass through regularly on my way to Wales.Great place ,decent shopping centre ,wonderful Cathedral and the girls look pretty too.

  5. Yes, I've heard of it, and been there several times.

    It's a big town, I'd guess that the population is in excess of 250,000.

    It's famous for its cathedral and the fact that the cricket ground floods when the River Severn bursts its banks!!

  6. Absolutely and have visited when travelling.   It is a lovely place and has a nice cathedral.

  7. I'm from Northern Ireland and was in Worcester about 2 years ago to go to a party in the Rugby club. I didn't actually get to see that much of Worcester as the party was on the Saturday night and we were literally straight up the next morning and had to drive to Birmingham to catch the flight home, but I would definitely like to go back at some point =]

  9. Famous for the fact that King John is buried in the cathedral, and of course Worcester Sauce.
