Have you heard of "indigo children"..with black auras?

Someone just mentioned about them and I wanted the rest of you to read about them ..just go to Wiki.Do you know any more about them? I'm just wondering how this name got started.Do you know?

I've heard of indigo children, but not heard of  black auras. My daughter swears that her middle child is indigo.  Or was. We haven't seen anything happening for a while now.

When he was younger, he held regular, long conversations with his deceased great grandparents, whom he never even met.  Used to give me chills, listening to him.  Especially when he made mention of places, names, things that I am sure he never saw in daily life.

On 9/11, watching the burning towers, he suddenly exclaimed "Look at the angels!"  He pointed to a spot near the center of the TV screen, he told me "This angel is helping the people get out of the tower." And then, he pointed over to the left side of the screen.  "And this angel is helping the people find their way home."

Well, we all want to think our child isn't just special, he or she is MAGICAL, don't we?  I have my own reasons for thinking my son is special.  But every parent does about their own children, or at least they ought to if they're any kind of parent.  But there's no reason to believe they're specially evolved beings.

I'd seen a show about this but later couldn't remember the name.  Your question reminded me, so I'm glad you asked it!

Most websites (e.g. [3]) say the name comes from the color of the aura, though one says, "...the designated word 'Indigo' has nothing to do with the color of an aura!." [1]

The only time I have ever heard about indigo children is on crime dramas describing kids who are wise beyond their years. Those don't have auras of any color and they aren't ghosts or angels or anything similar.

Beyond that, I have no idea.

talking about black auras, i have a sister that is very cunning, and does nothing but lie, she even believes in her own lies, ive started telling her, that i can see her aura, and everytime she lies, it goes dark grey to black, i tell her, that her aura doesnt lie, and theres no point in lying to me cause i can see it no matter what, ill stand there and say im looking at your aura right now and its dark, explain to me why that is then,....LOL i have her totally bluffed, if only she knew, i dont see her aura at all, but at least the lies have settled down a bit...lol.

Indigo children is a New Age "oh wow" term used to describe kids that don't necessarily blend in with their peer group.  If you notice the list of characteristics you'll see it's not unlike the description of some of the signs of the zodiac.  In other words, the descriptions are so general and positive that they could be used to describe just about anybody.  I think I fit the description of Indigo.  I bet just about everyone would think they too fit the description.

I don't mind the ghost claims.  Even if I don't agree, at least I can understand them.  Indigo children and all of the other New Age woo-woo stuff just doesn't compute with me.

actually, indigo children have indigo coloured auras.. people noticed that from the 1970's onwards, several people born had indigo coloured auras.. hence the name 'indigo child'. around 90% of children born in the 1990's are indogo children according to the experts. you can take several tests on the internet to find out if you or anyone else around you fit the describtion of indigo children.

            

           indigo, crystal, rainbow and blue-ray children are said to have come to earth to help raise its vibration. Indigos tend to be fairly sensitive to supernaturally. for example, they can very easily sense when someone in untruthful, they can see spirits. Several people misunderstand indigos.. they think they are wierdos or goth like or just plain freaky.,, well we are not.. ( i am an indigo) we are just a little different.. a little more sensitive.. thats all.
