Have you heard of western australias gas explosion and what have been the repercussions for you?

we had a gas plant explode 2 weeks ago. this is very major as it supplies over 30% of the states gas supply. we have had mines close down, brick works close, swimming pools closed and countless other businesses close as well. this is expected to go on for months until repairs are made. so my question is has anyone outside of western australia (we are like a seperate country i know) heard of this happening and what has been changing on your side of the world? eg prices, usage etc.

Gas as in gasoline? an oil plant? If not, we don't care about gas, it's the middle of the freaking summer here.

If it was oil, then we're doomed!!
