"Price also says language such as "angel food cake" and "devil's food cake" are also racially insensitive."

  1. OMG, somebody had to think of that one...

  2. This only means that this guy has no idea what racism is.

It is just not PC saying "Black holes have no hair". While scientifically a correct statement, not all people will understand it right....

  3. That's so funny. Maybe they should rename it to 'hole of color' - lol.

Years ago, electricians were scorned for exclusively using black electrical tape - it was the only color available. Now you can get almost any color, even white.

  4. Hmm..quite interesting. In science, black is only a statement- no such racist term. Ever heard of the huge Vans shoes strike? Jewish people were horrified at the Vans company because underneath the shoes there were designs that looked similar to Jewish stars- a signification for "stomping on the Jews." Vans had no intention to do this, or to upset society. Why? Because they did not think of it as such a racist comment- they were only stars, doesn't mean they were trying to cause conflict if not even talking about Jewish people. People can't always assume. Like almost everyone else here said, not everyone can be pleased. Especially in such a nuked world. But we should talk to our liberal politicians, they need convincing...

  5. A "Black Hole" can not be considered racist because it is a scientific name for something in space.

  6. that's d**n ridiculous.  A black hole is called a black hole because no light can escape from it, so it's totally black.  This politician needs to be put on a raft and set loose at sea.

  7. If some one saw a cereal box with a white guy riding a bike people would think that it is racist for not putting a black guy also... America thinks everything is racist if it refers to black or white.

  8. Price is a genuine fruitcake.  In fact, it was both his and the judge's responses that were racist.

  9. Ignorant.

    --Not his call.

  10. I watched the video.  The guy didn't seem to be very well educated.  It's not so much that he didn't know the term was a scientific designation, but like so many people he fails to realize that the black-white and light-dark descriptions we use are not at all racially oriented.

Black hole, black arts, dark clouds on the horizon, dark ages,  black Friday, Black Aggie, blacklist, blackout, etc.  The etymology of these terms must obviously be related to day and night -- day being bright and good and safe, while night is scary and ominous.  So evil things have become associated with night.  Light is life; darkness is death.  These images are probably universal, even among many Black cultures.

Maybe we should just get rid of the word "black", altogether.  That should keep people like him happy.  If we ever had an Orwellian type of society, this guy would be a perfect candidate for the "Ministry of Truth" in the department where they eliminate words and concepts from the language.

  11. Here in Australia, we had a native bush called the 'Black Boy'...  now we have to refer to it as 'Grass Tree'.  lol   Yet there is a brand of cheese called 'Coon', named after Edward William Coon, who found a method for fast maturation of cheese...   and we all know who protested THAT name.  lol

Too many do-gooders in this world, wanting everything to be politically correct.  Pretty soon, we won't be able to do ANYthing without offending SOMEone.  And like what was said above, anything that doesn't have a black person on or in it, is labelled 'racist'...   yet, put a black man on it, and us whites couldn't care less..!!  Who are the REAL racists, then..??

  12. wow. hey i guess you can make toilet paper racist because it is white. and since there is no "colored" toilet paper it is showing that white paper is better than colored paper. wait, i''m just talking out of my a-s-s....

  13. That information comes from FOX, so I'll wait for some more reliable confirmation.

    Meanwhile:

Imagine what they will think once they find out that a black hole that stick out of its event horizon (due to extremely rapid rotation, for example) is a "naked singularity".

For a long time, we thought black holes had no hair (I am not making that up, that term meant that the information about any matter was lost when that matter fell past the event horizon -- the only information left was the mass, the electrical charge and the rotational momentum).

However, since Hawking idea that black hole can radiate, it does appear that black holes have hair after all.

Funny (not) how Americans have a way of taking normal words, turn them into a meaning that was not intended, then find offense with that meaning.  For example, a hundred years ago, it was nice to be g*y.  It meant that you enjoyed life and were generally in a good mood, and that you caused others around you to also end up in a good mood.  In fact, it was considered a virtue, necessary for the person who wanted to be a good Christian.

Now the word is used almost exclusively (in the USA) in a sexual sense.  It is impossible to use that word in its real (dictionary) sense without having to explain what you mean (and even then, forget it).

  14. In case anyone stumbles into this question later, let's explain the term "Black Hole".

Black holes are very dense gravity wells. In fact, the gravity is so intense that nothing escapes, including light.

Take away all light and what do you have: black. Thus "black hole"

  15. this guy is retarted and has no idea what he is talking about a black hole is the left overs of a super nova that  can be thousands to even millions of miles long and has a center the size of a box for a game cube and can suck in anything even light  or stars for that matter if it is close enough to one that is and when it has to much density it explodes or actually implodes kind of like a nuclear bomb only billions of times stronger and trillions of times more deadly which can cause the creation of another solar system though ours is the most complex and only one of its kind due to earth

  16. I swear some people are so retatrded. Serioulsy, are we going to have to start renaming the colors of the Crayola crayons so its not "racially insensitive"? Come on get real!

  17. Some executive in America lost his job for using the word ''*********'' (meaning miserly).

  18. I never heard that before.

Some guy in California wanted to change the IDE settings on hard drives so they didn't say "Master" and "Slave" a few years ago because he thought they were insensitive terms.

    You can't please everybody.

  19. pathetic

  20. It doesn't matter what you say, someone is gonna cry about it.

That is why I don't care what any liberal politician thinks, they are the biggest crybabies there are.
