Is it ethical to advertise for a medication on radio with the announcer telling the listeners the dose to take? Would you trust the announcer and use a medication that should be prescribed by a doctor?

  1. I 've Never thought it could happen  oneday :)

  2. I did and I am against it and all other similar ads. Drugs should be prescribed by a doctor and people should not be encouraged to follow commercial ads when it comes to medication.

  3. the man in the street cannot afford the doctor's fees .

this medication isnt a sedative or a  serious one .

the mentioning of this medication would guide a person who has colon problems to go to a pharmacy and ask the pharmacist about it .

the announcer most probably has colon problems and thought he could help his listeners in this problem.

it isnt a question of ethics , it's a financial problem of millions .

  4. Hey there lovely,

What i know is that there is no real restrictions on Spasmo canulase and so many other medications in Egypt unless it has a substance that can cause addiction.

Spasmo canulase is used for irritable bowel syndrome or irritable colon and sometimes it helps in the digestive process... right?? I am not sure.... So i guess the manufacturing co. thought well Egyptians over eat in Ramadan, so let's save them the doctors' fees and write them a prescription of our medication sort of "one size fits all" Lol.

I don't think its ethical to advertise prescription medication and i don't trust announcers in general. So my final answer is NO i wouldn't buy this or any other medication except off course if they are over the counter.
