Have you heard the warning about the 4 paws pimple ball??

We had one of these and have since thrown it away. Just want to saee if others had heard about it as well!

Yes, my rescue group, ESKIE UNITED sent out a warning with some horrible pictures.  I don't like any of the toys PETLAND promotes and this is not the first time something like this has happened with their products.

I agree that any toy can be a hazard, especially to to a big lab who is a vigorous chewer.  But the design flaw this ball was the problem, and was pointed out to the company in 2005 and they promised to change it.  They make many other products that are safe, but need to change the design of this one.

If you own one of these, make sure the 2nd hole goes entirely through the ball so a vacuum effect is not created. My dog would be alive today if I had done this, and Chai would not have been injured if the company would have changed the design as they promised me they would.

I did hear about it, and I too, threw mine away.

It's very sad.

It's also a freak accident, so lets not be too hard on the company?  All toys have the potential to hurt.  Humans and canines alike.

What a stupid design.  

Wouldn't it be more fun if the ball had two holes where you could hear the bell anyway?

Thanks for the info!  I hadn't heard this before, but I'll definitely keep my dogs away from that toy.

I have not heard of this warning!!!

While I do not own any Four Paws products, I certainly won't be buying any now... regardless of price or quality!
