  1. helping people is a great way to really give hope 2 ppl that need it....it also makes you feel like you are doing something positive with your own life

  2. I used to give a homeless man all my bottles every week, and I even had someone knock on my door and ask for a blanket, I gave him a comforter. I have also given money that I couldn't afford to give on several occassions because I knew I could recover, but they had nothing to eat. As for the elderly, I treat them with the same respect I would give my own parents, even if I don't agree with their behavior. Charity begins in the home remember that. My family comes first, and for this reason, I would never allow a homeless person in to get out of the cold because you never know who you are dealing with, but like I said, I've given blankets, money and even food to those who were in need. Once a homeless person even stole a meal out of my husbands grocery bags when he stopped at the gas station, he pretended not to see, and after the deed was done, he walked up to the man and gave him some money. ;-)

  3. I let a homeless woman stay overnight in amy apartment. I was drunk when I agreed to. Later that she became demanding and needy. It was hard to get her to leave the apartment. I would never do that again.

  4. homeless, no. not because i'm cold hearted, but there have been many encounters when someone would give a homeless person the food that their sign begs for, but in actuality what they wanted was money for beer, a cigarette or to get high. i'd like to help the homeless but it's hard to tell who really needs the money for something positive.

  5. Many times. I couldn't count them!

  6. Yes I have. Just wanted to help.
