How can indoctrinating our kids to believe in fairy tales and nonsense create a forward / thinking and educated world?

ANYTHING in this world can be used for bad reasons. It depends on the person or people and the condition of their hearts.

Don't use religion or God as a crutch to justify your lack of belief in God/Allah and religion. PEOPLE are to blame. And from your comments you can't blame God or religion if you really don't believe that they exist in the first place! So what you just stated means that PEOPLE and their beliefs about God which come from themselves are responsible for the problems in the world. So tell me about the good people in the world who are religious and believe in God/Allah? Where do their good actions come from? Who do you give credit to? Them? You can look at it anyway that you want my dear.

i think we can't blame the god / religion perhaps we should blame the people who is making too much of it. they are certain rules that can be followed and obey in human life. we don't know who created this things but is the believe that we hold upon us is important. it's all on us to follow or not. for me keep a limit on everything is good.

Damage?  I think the damage you decry comes from YOUR OWN mind. The power of religion--which includes religions based in your own home country--has been the source of some pretty amazing events for millions of people world-wide!!

One's dedicated religious beliefs has saved lives, saved marriages, saved lost desperate immoral souls in multiples of millions of people--and has even produced a miracle or two.  I've even seen religion touch and convert the hard-hearted atheist into a dedicated ascribe of faith.

Personally, your soul means nothing to me; could care less if you wish a ride to h**l.  Oh, that's right---YOU don't believe in Heaven or h**l.

Have you looked at what immorality has done to our youth? Have you looked at what hate has done to the human race? Fairy tales and cartoons are made up nonsense. Yet you allow your children to believe in santa clause do you not. But there is no santa clause. Do your children like harry potter or other fantasy pictures. there not real but that is all children like because parents park there children in front of the tube or buy them DVDs. Aren't they considered fairy tales. I would rather teach my kids the truth about life and GOD instead of allowing them to be indoctrinated by lies.
