Question:

Have you lost weight with Taekwondo?

Silly question I know, but i'm fairly fit but after kids I have a bit bit of flab but very much into Taekwondo. After awhile will it burn fat?

  1. absolutely, i did taekwondo for 5 years and after the first 2 months, not only look great, but you can notice your stamina and energy levels are increased, just give it a little bit of time, also it depends how often you practice it.


  2. Yes! It really works, and I'm thrilled. Just make sure you go often. In the past two weeks I've gone 4 times a week, and already I can feel my legs toning up.

  3. if u try as hard as u can in class, than yes, if u just follow the moves without any power, u wont even break a sweat

  4. Weight loss is not the focus of most schools. Though you certainly could use any martial art as part of your fitness program. In the end it’ll have more to do with you and your dedication to using it in such a manner. I’d suggest taking up running and cutting calories for weight loss whether or not you train martial arts.

  6. it helps i have done a both tkd and working out in gym i have lost 57 kg i was 145 i am now a brown belt in tkd (itf) and work at the gym

  7. yes, i haven't lost a lot of weight but its because I'm 13 and only weigh 112 pounds so i don't need to, but i know people who have lost over 20 pounds in 3 months
