Have you made homemade wine/ i need some help?

Question

I usually make some welchs grape red wine it tastes alright it's bearable but I want something different.

I tried to make white wine, it tasted horrible. What other fruit juice should I try? I even thought about making some honey wine "mead" but that's a little on the expensive side/ never tried before.

And is there a easy way to add flavor to it during or after fermentation, I don't know,.. like candy or something?

You can make "country wines" from a variety of fruits and vegetables. Try to find a book by CJJ Berry. He has several, all pitched at beginners. I especially like his potato and lemon wines.
