I noticed recently that the "afro" is coming back to saudi youth.. Or a style of it..

its not as clean cut or smooth as it was in the '60's look.. its now a mix of uncombed unkept mop.. looks like a start of dread locks that isnt really locking.. haha... I have seen many young guys lately out that has this big mess of hair.. looks like a birds nest gone wild... What is your take on this?... Glad my son is under my control at the moment,, i'd shave him bald if he looked like that..

  1. Many of our youth are n't role model of an ideal Muslim. I see many the type you have mentioned..long hair tied up back like that of girls. Few years back, they were atleat scared of Mutawaa  who are rarely  visible nowadays.

  2. yo sup

thats fashion and too bad in ur country religion conquers everything.

its a cool thing kids are getting modern and maybe this is the start of the modern saudi revolution.why would u shave ur sons hair??

i wouldnt like it if i were him...

  3. ....yes, it is evident in the malls and public places.....I think they idolize black Americans who are very well known in music like RnB, Soul, Rap, etc. thats why they're imitating those people how they dress up and do the hairstyles.....I think it's self expression.... I didn't see anything wrong with that as long as they maintain it clean.....it's cool by the way......I may say, the people who appreciates it loves art and style.....

  4. Because they are letting it grow naturally.

  5. lol good luck.

  6. I've seen EMO hair in Riyadh and guys coloring there hair and bleeching it.
