  3. no! I think they have all come over to my town, they start singing at 2am and dont stop till 12am.

    Its a nightmare! can someone come take them back to where they came from? I need a good nights sleep!

  4. no, theres plenty of magpies, starlings, crows,  pigeons, crows. blue ****, robins,black birds,swans, ducks, geese... i live across the road from a large park, west mids, england.

  7. What seems to have happened here in London is that the 'Cockney house sparrow' has reduced in numbers over the last 20 years or so, from my own obervations.

    One of the reasons for this may be that due to a cleaner environment more predatory birds are now coming to live in our town gardens.

    In my garden, I have a nesting pair of magpies - members of the crow family.  There is also a maurading gang, the crows, to go out hunting daily.

    The crow family of birds do not just eat dead things, the take and eat other birds eggs and their chicks too.
