  1. Lol, I have 2 dogs and they smell very different.

One has a stinky coat (cause she licks herself all over, chews her feet, rolls in nasty stuff--wow she could use a good brush and bath) and the other never smells at all (except for her breath--phew!)

  2. Many breeds really do stink and it's immediately obvious to people who aren't around dogs that much. People who are around dogs all the time don't notice it because they're used to the smells.

  3. When your are around dogs all the time don't notice it because they're used to the smells. When you see two dogs meeting, notice how they sniff each other. Their smells tell them everything they need to know and whether it is safe to be friendly or if they should stand back.

Smell is a dog's sharpest sense. Next time a dog sniffs at you, think about this: just by smelling, a dog can tell where you have been and what you have been doing, what you have eaten, and even whether you are not feeling well. (Perhaps it's a good thing that dogs can't talk.)

The dog is using its nose the way you use your eyes to recognize people and figure out something about them. You know your little sister just came home from school because you see that she has her B backpack on; she had peanut butter and jelly for lunch because it is all over her shirt; and she looks might have a cold.

Dogs can't taste a lot of different flavors because they have fewer taste buds than you do. They can only tell when food tastes good or bad. And they have a special ability to taste the differences in water

And a very good evening to you princess xoxo

Wishing you sunshine, love and laughter. Not just today, but all the days after

  4. It must be you, I don't notice that at all.

  5. I think dogs are like farts in that everyone else's smell gross, but you don't mind smelling your own : )

  6. i never really noticed but it's possible

  7. I think your "smeller" is off.   Our dogs all have their own scents.

  8. I'm afraid your sense of smell isn't the same as mine - many dogs smell very different.

  9. yeah they stink...unless you give them a bath, then they smell like shampoo, but why are you going around smelling dogs anyway?
