Have you noticed that people are outside less often today?

Even on the nicest day in the Spring, after a long cold winter, I see very few people outside. My spouse and I are one of the few people who go outside for walks. The park near us is rarely used and most people just stay indoors.

Is this a society change or am I just noticing it?

definatley a society change, most people just sit inside and watch tv and play video games. i think its pretty health that u 2 go out for walks. keep it up

I've realized this too. And it's kinda sad, especially in the summer when its warm out and you can enjoy the outdoors. But some people are just too lazy to get up and would rather sit on the couch all day eating chips and watching oprah. And if they're not doing that, they are playing play station or nintendo. I wish everyone would get out a little!

To the contrary....I see more people out now bike riding, jogging, at the park doing various things. With the price of gas it appears more people are also walking more.

Lazy is all it is! I notice it too, and the ones I know doing it is they are lazy. I know we all work harder and longer hours but I still get out when I can:)

In the past couple of years, technology has been advancing more and more, and many people would rather stay inside and watch TV than take a walk.

Americans are known for obesity nowadays, not just because of their unhealthy eating habits, but because so many are inactive and don't get up and go outside.

Today children rarely ask for a bike or a skateboard for their birthdays.

This generation would much rather have televisions and nintendos.

But I live in Florida, and in the summertime it's disgusting out, so that might also have something to do with it :].

Computers and home entertainment consoles ftw! Besides. Air quality is decreasing rapidly. Why go outside?
