  1. You need to look up global warming.

  2. Hmmmmmmm !!!!!!!

May be on to something there......

Have u also noticed they always come in 3's as well!!!!!!

A bit like plane crashes..... (oh! and buses!)

  3. You have a short memory.

Natural disasters happen all the time.

And nothing recently can match the great plagues.

  4. Apparently a disaster which is twice as bad as another happens four times less often. A disaster which is 4 times as bad as another happens 16 times less often. And so on...

This means that on average you get lots of small disasters and much less really big disasters.

Occasionally something massive comes along like The Toba Eruption.

  5. It is NOT "frecuency", It has been the same for ages, Now we have a better TV news system. And a growing sedentary group of TV watchers,   and you are just noticing.

I live in Colima, México, just 20 miles south of an active volcano. There are towns that have been there, at 4.7 miles away from crater for 500 years with no problem, but we have an "University" shouting warnings for the last 10 years, with no results.

  6. Planet Earth is constantly evolving, and currently in a warming phase.

  7. Happening or being reported more often ????

  8. I don't think that natural disasters are becoming more frequent. I think that the population of the planet is increasing and places where people are living is expanding to accomodate all the extra people. It's just that more people are now being affected by these natural disasters. After all, nobody is going to care about an earthquake in an unpopulated area that didn't kill anyone.

Hope that made some kind of sense.

  9. No.

  10. The frequency are not predictable by human knowledge.

  11. i don't think they are happening more frequently, if anything, they are been prevented (e.g. flood defenses). Natural disasters obviously kill more people (as there are more people to kill), and they are more publicized than they used to be.
