I'm strongly considering the surgery. I'm 35 years old and had my tubal ligation 11 years ago. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Think about this thoroughly. Yes, there are some tubal ligations that can be reversed and others where the patient is not a candidate for tubal reversal. Before anything make sure that you are a good candidate. Another thing to think about before this big expense is to make sure that your partner has a normal s***n analysis. If his results are normal then by all means go ahead. On the other hand, if abnormal, you may want to consider InVitro Fertilization instead. If the doctor you're seeing is an OB/GYN, I suggest you meet with an infertility specialist who can give you more indepth information. Don't forget to take a copy of your tubal ligation report. Best of Luck!
