Have you or do you know anyone who has a cleft lip ?

if so as you or the person got older did the scar start to disappear

im 16 and i have a cleft lip and i have a scar that normally didn't bother me but as i got old more people noticed and i got bullied for it i want to no if the scar was always there in there life ??

my dad has a cleft lip. he has had it since he was born and it was noticeable when he was little, but ever since i was born, i never really paid attention to it.  you cant help that you have a cleft lip, it makes you unique. and if people are gonna bully you over something you had no control over, i wouldnt consider those people to be worthy of your time.

I don't think the scar fades without cosmetic surgery, but i know lots of famous people have cleft pallet surgery stacey keach for example he covered his scar with a mustache.

my friend had a cleft lip and it doesn't go away as you get older, it's there for life unless you get it operated on, which she did. they fixed her up really good too. you have to turn 18 to get the surgery done.

My brother in law has a cleft palate/lip - operated on when he was a baby. He is now 51 and there is very little evidence of the scar now. Just feel sorry for the bullies.
