  1. my experience has been if the sale is rung up as a debit it goes through within 48 hours, if rung up as credit it can days 4-5 days...

I had one credit purchase take 3 weeks before the funds were actually withdrawn...

  2. I have had gas stations take up to a week to actually withdraw the money.  Just make sure you remember you used it there and keep enough money in the account to cover it.  It's kind of funny when I read your title, I knew exactly what the question was going to be.

  3. It depends on the time of day and how many banks it has to go through.  If you did filled up in the evening then add a day.  If the gas station banks with a bank outside of your banking district (you wouldn't know) then it will take a day longer.  It can show up as fast as the moment you do your transaction and as long as an entire week later.  I wouldn't worry at three days.  It will show.

  4. Sometimes it can take a couple of days for the charge to hit your account. They may process several days worth at a time. Don't worry about it, it will be deducted from your account automatically.

  5. It will show up. They may not have deposited their credit card slips yet. They always ask for your zip to verify it is you using the card. Don't worry, just look out for it any day now.

  6. It is treating your card like a credit card. The gas station I go to does the same thing. After about 3 or 4 days it will show up on your bank statement and the money will be pulled out of your account. When you go somewhere and you don't have to put in your PIN number when you make a purchase like that, it is being treated as a credit purchase and not a debit card purchase.

  7. Do you mean PIN code? Why would a debit card ask you for a zip code? I have a feeling you owe the station some money if you entered the wrong number.
