I am not looking for those that know of someone who has seen a UFO or read an account of one. If you have seen such a thing, please discribe it.

  1. No, and I've spent thousands of hours observing the night sky with and without optical aid because I am an amateur astonomer.

The key I think is the "unidentified" part. I've seen plenty of things that looked at first like something mysterious, but I used my knowledge and experience to identify what they were. Example - a formation of objects "glowing" orange and flying in a "V" formation? Simple: a flock of Canada geese lit from the city lights. Etc., etc.

  2. I have not.

I have, however, seen prototype airplanes conduct airborne tests at night.

But hey - isn't that what all UFOs are?

  3. i've seen tons of unidentified flying objects.  i looked at some stuff in the sky, and i didn't know what it was.

  4. Yes, I have seen a flying object which I could not identify. No, I do not believe it was an alien spaceship.

  5. I haven't seen one- but that doesn't mean they aren't there. It's just plain silly to have all of those perfectly good stars and planets without at least one developing a space-faring technology.

  6. I haver never seen one. But I know a few people that have. My parents told me about experience they had while in driving in Colorado a few years before I was born they saw two blue lights connects to each other and it followed them for about two miles and it disappeared. When I was in high school I worked at a grocery store and one day one of my coworkers came in shaken she saw a ship with lights near her house.

  7. About fifteen years ago I saw a huge triangle in the night sky in southwest PA.  It had two large lights in the front and three smaller lights down the front two sides.  It didn't move very fast and the sound it made reminded me of a generator or a lawn mower, except much lower.

  8. Yes, it was like a small glow hanging in the horizon. At first I thought it may have been a star, but it was early in the afternoon. Then I thought maybe it was a plane headed either directly away from or directly toward me. Then it started climbing in altitude. Then it changed direction. Just a glowing sphere in the sky very far away. Then it disappeared. I have no clue as to what it was. It was cool to see though!

    Unidentified - Yes!

    Flying - Yes!

    Object - Yes!

Alien - I have no clue... Probably not!

  9. NO

  10. I did wne day when coming home from chilies. It was glowing my dad pointed it out and  i saw it. Then it sped off. Another time i thought i saw one chasing a plane late at night. it flew in a zigzag kinda way.

  11. No. I don't do drugs and I drink in moderation!

  12. Yep.  And if I hadn't been a rational, skeptical person, I would have done like most other people and run off in ecstatic hysteria, embellishing the story for the rest of my life.

It was a really strange thing that eluded my ability to identify it for several minutes.  Then I figured it out.  It was prosaic, but completely unexpected.

E-mail me if you want the details.  They're longer than I want to post here.

If you mean, have I seen anything that was probably an alien craft, then no.  The odds are vanishingly small that anyone ever has.

Doggone it, Campbelp, if you'd e-mail me, I'm sure you would love my story.

  13. Yes - it was a very shaking experience because my brain couldn't understand what it was seeing. I still don't believe what I saw, but I can visualize it like it was an hour ago. It was about 3000 feet high and hovering. I remember seeing it slightly move back and forth. It was almost right above my head - just hovering there. It was a strange color - kind of a dark gray metal color. It was there for about 30 seconds - you have no idea how long 30 seconds is under these conditions. I was freaking out. I could see small window-like openings - it was about 500 feet wide and about 1000 feet long - oval shaped. Then  it just took off at about 300 mph, instantly, in a curved manner. It didn't increase in speed to 300 mph - It started off at 300 mph.

I'm pretty sure about these dimensions, I was a weatherman in the Air Force - I am used to seeing fast flying planes and helicopters and estimating cloud heights.

  14. Yes.

It looked like a flashing star. No saucer or big thing. And it didn't move. But every 20 seconds or so it flashed in the same spot in the sky. It did that for some minutes. I was with a group of amateur astronomers and we had telescopes. We pointed a telescope at it. It looked like a dim star that flashed bright every 20 seconds or so. The clock drive of the telescope was on and tracked it just like any other star, so it was not a geostationary satellite. After a while it stopped flashing and the dim star faded away until it could no longer be seen in the telescope.

  15. yup, but later i found out it was an airplane, but for 6 seconds it was unidentified

as for the martian kind ... never.

  16. Yes I have 2 times seen an Unidentified Flying Object.

The first one was the weirdest.

About 10-13 months ago me and my mates were on a grass field (like a park) chilling' (:P) at night where I suddenly saw an object very very high up in the sky:

I have seen satellites before and it looked exactly the same.

It was about 300Km high (What I estimate) so I told my friends "Check that out. Is that a satellite?"

About 2 seconds after that, the thing started to Zig-Zag!

I couldn't believe my eyes. I was like OMG! That thing has propulsion!

The weirdest thing was that the thing was making these EXTREMELY sharp angles (Zig-Zaging) and as we all know, nothing (Officially) made by us (Human Beings) can do that.

You can not fly 30.000 Km/h and make a sharp turn without being flattened like a pancake.

Try this for yourself, just WALK forward (3 Km/h) and then suddenly try to change your direction to backwards.

    You feel the G-Force.

That was definitely no Space-Shuttle or any Asteroids etc.

The second time was 6 months ago (new year eve).

It was again night and a friend of mine told me to look at an object in the distance.

It was a very small object and it glimmered.

I told him that it was most likely a helicopter but the weird thing was that it didn't have any red-blue flashing lights.

Suddenly it shot out of our view. Again accelerating very very quickly.

I still have no exploration for these 2 objects.

    Any explanations?

  17. me and my wife noticed something in the night sky which was flashing Red and Green lights. We thought it was an airplane so we paid it no mind. about 10 minutes later, it was still there.

I went in and got a small pair of binoculars and we looked at it. When we did it went dark. In about 30 seconds, it was extremely bright and we could see white, green, red and blue lights all flashing. The object didn't move for over an hour.

We went inside for a few minutes and when we came back out, we saw two of them probably 10-20 miles apart flashing their lights in sequence. We watched them for about 20-30 minutes, just hovering. They were probably 20-30 miles from us so we never got a close up view of their shape.

then all of a sudden they zipped off faster than the speed of light.

ufo?  maybe so. very interesting indeed.
