It's okay if they die ... eventually man will die and in a blink of an eye the world will flurish with all kinds of shellfish creatures. Humanities existence will be shortlived at the pace we are going so enjoy the ride ... it's fun to kill things for selfish reasons :) one of the joys of being human.

Yes ,and 5 species of fish ,as well as many species of prawns have totally disappeared from the whole river system which ends in the lagoons in Mexico in Guerrero

the shell fish are always the first to go

because they feed from the bottom .where all the pollution ands up,

then the prawns and lobsters go and the bottom feeding fish.
