  1. I've seen "The Secret" movie and honestly feel that it is pretty bogus!

  2. sorry, not got that far yet! just started reading it - very interesting :o)

  3. I have seen the Secret DVD and read similar books. I really believe in the postive thinking stuff, but you really have to practice it all the time. Once the DVD information wore off, I forgot to do some of the things they mentioned. You really have to keep at it. Good Luck!

  4. "Whether it's a rape victim, a tsunami victim, or a heart attack victim, The Secret teaches that they brought it upon themselves with their own negative thoughts. This idea is, of course, profoundly offensive in many ways. "

  5. Were the West to blame for not intervening in the Rwandan genocide?  Of course not - you cannot be blamed for what you couldn't reasonably know.

How then can the Law of Attraction be offensive?

But it's subservient to the Law of Free Will.  Hence you're reliant on someone allowing you to have their money.

As someone who has learnt how to eliminate their negative feelings, I'm well positioned to evaluate the Law of Attraction.  And either it works or I'm one of the luckiest people in the world.

  6. I have watched it, about 1 year ago.

    It is no good.

All this nonsense about ordering from the universe/cosmos, its ridiculous.

If you are truly interested in mastering this area, then i reccommend you read books on the subject of the subconcious mind, start with 'The Genie Within' by Harry Carpenter, this is not new age stuff, this has scientific references and studies mentioned in the book, and many of these techniques are used by Derren Brown, a famous british mentalist/hypnotist/magician/psychologis...

There certainly is a powerful part of our mind that we are not utilising fully, the subconcious mind.

    Hope this helps.

  7. WARNING.....  DON'T BE DECEIVED BY THE NEW AGE BOOKS  .    THEY SEEM TO TAKE OVER A PERSON'S THOUGHTS .    ALSO, GETTING RICH BECOMES THEIR GOAL.     IT DOESN'T ALWAYS BRING WEALTH AND THEN THERES A BIG LET DOWN.    THEN WHAT DO YOU DO?      THE GOAL OF GETTING RICH BECOMES ALL IN ALL.

  8. "The Secret" should have remained a secret.  The "movie" was an too much like an infomercial to me.  Very cheesy and more laughable than helpful.

I'm a firm believer in positive thinking, but not to the extent that I'm going to receive huge amounts of money and whatever else simply by thinking it into being.  Me thinking positively isn't going to have an effect on someone I've never seen or met.

Besides, why does it always have to be money or possesitions?  I've been blessed so many times at work or where ever simply by being cheerful and happy.  I don't need money to make me happy and people who think that way are greatly decieved.
