  1. yeah i read it, but i couldn't get through it. it was the one and only time hat i have EVER used sparknotes.

  2. If you have ready access to fresh Hobbit, you might want to try this "Halfling Pie" recipe my great grandmother passed down to me:

    30lbs  Ground Hobbit Sausage

1/2 gallon extra halfling legs & arms, Cooked And Cubed

    Cup of Fresh Ground Sage

2 cups of Fresh Ground Pepper + 1 cup Sea Salt

1/2 gallon Thinly Sliced Celery Stalk And Onion

1 bucket Condensed Cream Of Chicken Soup

4 buckets Thin Sliced Apples + 1 Green Pepper

    1 lb All-Purpose Flour + 1/3 Cup Shortening

    1/4 lb Parmesan Cheese, Grated

    2 1/2 pints Cold Water

Cook and stir sausage in large skillet until done. Drain. Stir in limbs, sage, pepper, green pepper, onion. celery and soup. Divide mixture into large pie pans. Place apple slices on mixture in the cups. Prepare Pastry. Cheese and salt until particles are size of small peas. Sprinkle in water, 1 tablespoon at a time, flour will moisten and pastry almost cleans side of bowl. Roll out each pastry so its 1 inch larger than dish. Seal pastry to edge of dish, and cut 5-7 slits in each top. Bake pies at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes or so.

  3. Stars are billions of miles away and I would be scorched into dust just trying to lay hands on one even if I could get close!

    P.S. The Hobbit rocks!

  4. This is one of the Greates books of all time.  READ IT!!!!

  5. The Hobbit is a great book, but you don't need to read it if you're really just interested in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.  It's stylized a little different than the rest of the series and can be read as a stand-alone.
