I just want to hear from a liberal who has read the Rape of Nanking (or understands the atrocities done there.. more killed than died in the bombings of hiroshima and nagasaki and 200,000 women raped.. repeat.. raped)

Understanding this. How can a liberal be against a strong military in the US?

Please. Explain.

  1. Please explain the connection between liberalism, the US military, and the Rape of Nanking?

If anything, the US should be ashamed of itself for ignoring the atrocities that were occurring in both Europe and Asia at that time.  The US only got involved militarily with the war out of a sense of revenge for Pearl Harbor.  While most Americans only think WW2 lasted 4 years between '41 and '45, anyone in Europe or Asia will point to the war having lasted the better part of 10, even 20 years.  Korea and parts of China had been under Japanese rule for the better part of 50 years by the time WW2 ended.

  2. I'm with you.

Here's a quote from George Orwell.

"Those who practice non-violence are able to do so because someone else has taken up the burden of defending them."

Liberals love Orwell until they actually read him.

and those women weren't just raped, they were raped repeatedly and then had their genitals mutilated. Japanese soldiers took pictures for their scrap books.

  3. This doesn't make sense.

  4. What is the point of this, one could point out that the Japanese government were at the time the most conservative military orientated government on earth.

  5. yes I did, and no I don't.

  6. Being a liberal has nothing to do with understanding what happened to Nanking by the j**s.  What is your point?

Sounds like James is exercising his mouth without engaging his brain again.  He does that a lot.

  7. Wow Kent, all of the moonbats are out. You see, liberalism is a mental disorder? You are trying to use reason and logic with people who can identify neither. The idea that "everyone being a pacifist" wasn't dispelled in Kindergarten makes you wonder about the coddling parenting of these poor, silly, future victims. You raise an interesting question. What on earth could have stopped the genocide in China prior to WWII? The only answer is, of course, complete and total destruction of the Japanese military by a superior Chinese force. Oh, sure, you and I think it's a simple deduction, but this is a Chinese puzzle box for our friends on the left. It really does elude them. The whole idea that whether or not you have peace depends not one iota on you. It's whether or not your enemies desire peace that ultimately matters. It's funny (as in strange, not ha ha) how much your enemies desire peace when you have burned their cities and vaporized their military.

  8. nangking wouldn't have happened if everybody involved was a pacifist

that's what Pacifism wants  for everybody to be non-violent
