I'm thinking about going on a singles cruise but I had a few questions

-Would it be ok if I cruise solo? Or would it be hard meeting people that way/would i still have fun if i went solo? Do a lot pf people aboard solo?

Im 22yrs old (young) are single cruises for older adults?

What cruise line would you reccemend for me? I love meeting people, I love the caribbean and having fun. Im not a "wild" partier but, I do like to have fun.

How much typically would it cost

If I do go it would be next Sunday (I know spare of the moment)

Would the prices be cheaper since its last minute? How much can I plan on spending for this trip? including airfare/tipping....

If you have any other suggestions or comments please dont hesitate to leave them here. Also, if you have been on a singles cruise if you can leave you email address I would appreciate it. You may email me also.

Thanks,

  1. Yes I was on a singles cruise but it was a long time ago.

Yes go by yourself. What you going to do take a guy friend.

    That a different cruise altogether.

Its easyer for a woman to talk to a single guy then a group of men.

Bring a box of condoms and have a good time.

  2. Absolutely go!  However, there are really not any single cruises, just some companies market a group of rooms for singles.

Carnival Cruise lines has more singles, and a younger crowd.  They also have great last minute rates.  As for your flight, that is the expensive part right now!

I used to live in Florida and the last minute would call Carroll Roberts at Cruises Only  She can be reached at 1-800-443-7447, and if she is not there, ask for someone who can book you a last minute cruise.  You can also go online to CruisesOnly.com and obtain telephone numbers.  They are a large company, and will beat everyone elses rates!!  My suggestion is a 3-4 night cruise, make sure they put you at a table with people your age, and the early dinner is better.  And do not hesitate to speak to everyone, you never know who you meet.

Tips are added to your bill, I immediately go to the front desk of the ship and ask them to remove them, and give tips to those individuals that earn them.  Drinks are very expensive on board, so if you like softdrinks, consider purchasing a card good for the trip.  When in the islands, you can purchase small bottles of booze and carry them back on without getting caught.

Dress very casual, bring a suit or sportcoat as one dinner is usual more formal, spending money, some gambling money etc..  When in Florida, I usually could spend around $239.00 for a 3 night cruise and a little spending money.  An inside cabin is fine, as you will not be there very often, and save your money for a nicer cabin when you have a partner with you!  Shop on the islands, it is cheaper.

Airfare is the expensive part right now, especially last minute.  I work for AA and fly free, so this is not a problem.  And a cruise is the one time I purchase travel insurance through Cruises Only.  It is inexpensive, and will protect you if flights are delayed, you get sick etc..  Feel free to contact me at ftlbear@yahoo.com for any questions.  Have fun!!
