  1. watch 'freedom to fascism' from Aaron Russo, director of trading places, got 10 minute standing ovation at Cannes, banned in the usa, why? SEE IT!!

  2. I have mixed emotions about the NAIS. What they are trying to do is a very worthwhile thing.  It could save the animal industry millions in money and animal lives.  It is the tactics they have been using to implement it that have been questionable.  It is voluntary by being pushed and tricked.

  3. No it is not really voluntary. they are using coersion with the kids in 4-H and FFA. no one can show at a state or county fair unless their premises is registered and their animals chipped/given ID numbers.

There in concern that the rfids they are using for ID cause cancer.

The big CFO and feed lots will not have to register individual animals just batches of 50+. consiodering that over 90% of the bad maet comes from these types of operations you would think that the program would zero in on IDing every animal on such an operation. But sadly that will not be happening. instead they will be making sure every animal from small and hobby farms is IDed. This will be a buge burden on a lot of small farmers and will likely mean the end of many endangered breeds because the farms that raise such will not want to deal with the paper work and the fact they have to register their farm with the government.

I know I will continue to raise pastured chickens and I will not be registering my farm even if mean I will have to grow my own grain and kill my own birds instead of having them done at a State inspected facility.

  4. Everybody,

Should we watch what we say here?

Say anything bad about the gov.

    Big brother might be watching.

We might get audited by the IRS.

I debated this very issue and others over the phone with one of their reps. a year ago.

They were at a loss for words.

Would not tell me their sources.

I sent my form back with harsh comments:

parallels with Hitler and the Jews; gun registration etc.

What the USDA really needs to do is discontinue its race and gender preferences in hiring and education.

Maybe they will stop doing this when somebody puts a bullet in an administrator's head?

O.K. everybody, in a day or two,

I'll know if Big Brother was watching.

    I'll let everybody know!

Or if you don't hear from me...

    LOL

    Added comments:

Many people have premise ID and they are not aware of it.

If you take a dead or sick farm animal or poultry to a state diagnostic center.  They assign you an ID.

If you order chicks through the mail, especially if its interstate, the hatchery has to inform your state Ag. dept.

The Ag. magazines we subscribe to

and the feed stores we shop at,

do they give big brother our name and address etc?

I've questioned them too, but they deny it.

  5. It never did.  Many livestock industries are up in arms over this (I am an alpaca breeder); thankfully, the government has actually backed off a bit from their original proposals due to the uproar.

  6. The NAIS is creepy in the EXTREME.  I try to talk to people who are not in the agriculture sector about it.  I've not had a single one "get it" yet.

I'm a small farmer, I raise meat goats and meat rabbits.  I adore my animals.  I've worked very, very hard since 1999 to build up a healthy, happy and productive herd of goats.  It is extremely (!) important to me that my livestock have the healthiest and best life possible, even if some of them are eventually going to go to slaughter.

Before I will allow the NAIS on my farm, I will go out and shoot every single goat I own.  This is my livelyhood....I love my animals....THIS is how strong I feel about the NAIS.

I know what they are doing to 4H, and FFA children.  I know they have already gone to the local Indian Reservations, and tagged the livestock of the Indians for free.

I know when my Mom participated in a tree planting/reparian repair they automatically registered her farm.  She didn't fill out a single form requesting it, nor did anything she signed talk about it..."they" just did it on there own.

People laugh at me, and think I'm a whack job when I tell them how its going to work.

Register all the farms and livestock for the "safety" of the consumer.  (All this actually does is provide more control over the food supply, by Government agencies.  Who-ever controls the food supply controls the people)

Pets also will all be microchipped eventually.  (I actually have my dogs microchipped in case they are ever lost....then I found out the local pounds do not scan dogs, unless they are obviously purebred.  So the mutts I adopted from those very same pounds are not protected in the slightest, even though I paid for microchipping at my Vets....$65 per dog, I have 5 dogs)

Now "they" will begin to work on people.  Remember when Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped, and they found her X months later, but brainwashed and controled she lied about who she was?  Of course it will be easy to talk many, many parents into microchipping their children "for their safety" after another public incident such as Elizabeth Smart.  They have already microchipped some children because of parental fears (pushed by the media).

Have something that needs to be addressed medically?  What if you are in a car accident and unconcious?  Get a microchip implanted and the doctors will be able to keep you safe by having access to your medical records at an instant, from your microchip.  There are people who have already volunteered for this type of microchipping (totally unbelivable to me).

Now wouldn't you like to see all criminals microchipped?  Ok, how about just the really deviant ones, like pedophiles, and rapist?  Any idea how easy that is going to be to get pasted into law?  Way, way easy.

Of course to cut down on fraud, they will also start to push, or mandate microchipping of people recieving welfare, or other Government monies...just to make sure they are not collecting money fraudulently from the Government.

Pretty soon they will just routinely microchip babies born in hospitals, just as they currently assign them Social Security numbers at birth.

People do not believe me, when I say the NAIS is just one of the steps toward total Government control, a world money,  world government, and a world economy.

Whoever controls the food supply and the money will control the world.  The NAIS is a signifigant step toward this form of control.  They are preying on the fears of the general public, via the media to get these things passed.

My husband and I are only two....but we will continue to fight "they" and try to help keep the rights, and freedoms our country was founded on....even for those people caving in to media driven fears.
