  1. Waiting for the second one coming out some time in october!

  2. Yes I have seen it.

My thoughts on it are that it was skillfully done, it was not put together by stupid people and it had money backing it.

I am very studied in the occult, in philosophy, in religion and science and the makers of that movie took the truth in many small parts that do not really fit together and tied them together to try and sell an anti religious mindset to the people that see it, but are not necessarily educated in the many of the subjects that the movie trys to mesh into one idea. It is like P T Barnum, the famous carney, saying that there is a sucker born every minute. The movie attempts to spread fear and confusion, and it seems to be reaching it's aim in some ways, which is to find the suckers that will believe what it says, as near as I can tell the most truthful aspects of Zeitgeist are about the banking industry.

But hey we all need banks, right!

  3. That movie makes statements that cannot be backed up, there's for sure lots of coincidences but that's as far as it gets... it's one of those skeptic-freak movies.

people can say it's an eye opener but, really? I personally demand more proof/resources of all those things that movie says.

  4. It's a pseudo-documentary of the lowest sort.

Trying to do research on their claims proves them 90% false.

Seriously, there are much better and more honest ways to debunk religion.

  5. Yes,I found it interesting and it questions who are the masters of humanity. In Egypt the masters were controlling the slaves thru religioun and poverty .Faith and money.Faith that our leaders are doing the right  and just decision making that we the people elected them to do. and faith that our way of life ie seeking life, liberty, and happiness continues for it is hard work to achive.when we don't achive it then poverty sets in and we become wage slaves.there is some truth in this.I have faith in god and in myself  and hope that ego never incumpass me to fall. The film did open my eyes Nancy Reagon use to call these guys the crazys. We now know why.

  6. I think it's quality educational material.

I gained roughly 10 IQ points after watching it.

  7. OMG finally someone that's seen it. The religion part didn't really make and impact on me but part 2 and 3 completely opened my eyes. I would have never have believed it if i didn't see it for myself.

That movie made a huge impact on my life. The facts are indisputable.

I'm just happy more people are seeing it. My friend beth sent it to me more then a year ago and i still think about it once in a while.

  8. Yes, I've seen it.

I consider it to be an intellectually dishonest documentary, not because of the filmmakers personal bias, but because of its disregard for the truth. There is so much questionable statements that can easily be refuted, or controversial points that have legitimate opposing views that should have been presented.

    - Regarding part 1: Jesus

The "Mythology of Jesus" theory was an obscure and generally dismissed theory.

It has gained exposure due to author "Acharya S" and her collaboration with the Zeitgeist filmmaker. (She is also author of the films companion guide). But even the casual but astute viewer will find considerable silliness in the some of the conjectures where practically any numerical or astrological connection 'proves' mytholical derision. Son=sun? Three stars in Orions belt = three kings? Virgo = Mary because the astrological sign sort of looks like an M? Who buys this stuff?

    Some other views:

" The idea of Jesus as a myth is rejected by the majority of biblical scholars and historians. In 2004, Richard Burridge and Graham Gould stated that they did not know of any "respectable" scholars that held the view today. Robert E. Van Voorst has stated that biblical scholars and historians regard the thesis as "effectively refuted"."

    - Regarding Part II: 9/11

It should be noted upfront that being skeptical of the 'official version' of anything presented by the government or media, is a good thing for society. And it should also be noted that questioners of 9/11 'offical versions' range from genuine intellectual pursuits of greater truths, to bizarre interpretations specifically intended to support a unwavering point of view.

The Zeitgeist filmmaker is part of that spectrum that has bought into the theory that the government orchestrated the whole thing. Unfortunately the evidence they selected and presented was sloppy and much of it easily disproved, even by members of the Truth movement. (I've heard some speculate this may have been a red-herring to discredit the 'truth' movement).

    - Regarding Part III: Men behind the curtain

As a liberatarian, I found this part to have had the most potential in exposing abuses of government and men in power. Instead, it trots out tired long disproven conspiracy theories.

"Income Tax law Doesn't exist" theory - Very stale. Consistently disproven over-and-over again. No new information, just new victims going to jail that fall for these arguments. Very sad.

"Federal Reserve System is owned by international bankers" - Still a common conspiracy theory. Still wrong. The Federal Reserve System, is headed by the Board of Governors, a Government Agency (look it up - http://www.whitehouse.gov/government/ind... ). The Federal Reserve branches can definitely be considered tightly regulated corporations owned by their member banks, all of which must be American-owned by law. It is receives regular audits, and is overseen by congress.

"There is no shortage of information which refutes this viewpoint. But this type of conspiracy relies on two elements common to web surfers: First, they're only willing to check facts at the most superficial level, which usually means they'll read a message or watch a clip just once before forming an opinion and moving on. "...(a) common problem in the film: presenting something in such a shallow manner without further corroboration or scholarly evidence." - Ref:

There are those who defend the film because they believe that agenda+motive is more important than truth. There is a certain irony here since the films overarching thesis is to be wary of those who would obfuscate the truth in an attempt to persuade others to their point of view. Even more bizarre are allegations that detractors of the film must be agents of some sort and part of the grand conspiracy.

  9. i found the religion bit very interessting!!

id never heard that side to religion before!

not buying the whole 9/11 conspiracy! it did have some good points but i still think it was terrorists.....

and i never made it to the 3rd part lol

  10. It' s been debunked.

  11. Zeitgest is really sad. Do some research on your own.

  12. It is an editorial piece, not a documentary.  A documentary implies there is documentation behind it. The "documentation" for Zeitgeist is not reliable and credible.

I'm not much into conspiracy theories -- most of them, including those presented in Zeitgeist, are absurd.

The part of Zeitgeist regarding religion was even more laughable.

But if you enjoyed the show, you might like reading "The Monopoly Men."

  13. Saw it.

JUNK, that anyone familiar with history and any common sense can see.... but common sense and ignorance of history seem to be epidemic in the world and people prefer a poor conspiracy to historical fact.

Let's see some quotes about truth....

"In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act." -- George Orwell

"Truth eludes us if we do not pursue it with constant attention." - Alexander Solzhenitsyn (Russian novelist and later prof. at Harvard)

"Truth is absolute and knowable and must be searched for diligently, but many will try to hide it, deny it or muddy it." -   Bai Leung.

"To give truth to him who loves it not is but to give him more plentiful material for misinterpretation" - George MacDonald

"Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened." - Winston Churchill

Hmm.... deceit, can't find truth, muddy or deny truth, misinterpret truth, ignore truth... sounds like the people that created that fools paranoia.

If you are willing to watch the whole thing, may you actually search for some truth too.
