nearly 50 years ago, i saw a triple rainbow.

it was really clear, and sunny.

but i didn't have a camera.  :-(

The rarity of a double rainbow is due to the large area that needs to have rain droplets in the atmosphere and be exposed to the suns rays to produce one.  You also need to be in the right area and have a decent light intensity to spot it when it does happen.  Even with the right conditions, the 2nd rainbow will be barely visible.

ya ive seen  a double rainbow a couple of times but the second rainbow is usually barelly visible

i was in a rainbow for 10 minutes while driving on the freeway. that was pretty cool

I have.  It was awesome.  I saw a single one the Thursday before last.  It might've been the Friday before last. I'm not sure. But it was right after a shower, and the sky was light one one side, and the other side you could still  see the rain clouds.  It was awesome. I wanted to take a picture of it. But my camera's battery was dead, and by the time I got a little charge out of it, would've been gone anyway.  I got really excited to see it for like no reason.  Probably cause I haven't seen one in so long.
