  1. Yes, and you can tell why he has all those Michelin stars! I also have several of his books, and the recipes are good and easy to follow.

  2. i know what you mean but if you watch him in britan on the bbc he cooks alot

  3. have you ever saw jesus perform a miracle?

    millions believe in him though

  4. Always - when he does Kitchen Nightmares he goes to markets etc, and when he goes to peoples houses! (and he teaches them on the F word!)

  5. he actually in one episode yelled at this guy then threw him off the line and started to complete the dish himself......screaming about the incompotence of the other chefs......that was so funny

  6. yep - dined at his restaurant last nyt wer he was cooking!

  7. To better understand GR, read his autobiography 'Humble Pie'. He was brought up in a dysfunctional family and bullied and abused by his drunken selfish father. He had a very promising career as a footballer crushed by injury. He threw himself into cookery determined to be a success (perhaps to prove himself to his dad). He worked long hours often coming in on days off just to learn the skills. He experienced humiliation and abuse from Marco Pierre White (a real psycho chef), but took it all just to learn and gain experience.

In the eating out business restaurants fold as quickly and easily as table napkins. If you want to be at the top and retain/gain Michelin stars you cannot afford c**k-ups at any level. Any commis/sous chef etc who doesn't perform on the night could put you out of business. You need to be both driven and ruthless in the pursuit of excellence.

Having said that his antics and language on the 'F-word' and the 'h**l's kitchen 'series are a caricature-playing up to his bad boy image. Of course he can cook- he is probably one of Britain's (Scotland's) finest native born chefs.

Running a successful culinary empire makes demands on your time in business/financial matters and you often have to delegate the cuisine side to trusted annd accomplished chefs you have trained to your style.

  8. yes and very lovely it tasted. Did you hear he is now going to be cooking fingertips after eating one!

  9. Seen him cook plenty of times, in some of his kitchen nightmares he's had to get into the kitchen and cook for the night when a chef has walked out or not been available.

In the F Word program there is a celebrity challenge section where both Gordon Ramsay and the celebrity cook a dish then see which dish is preferred.

There are other programs outside of the main ones that had Gordon Ramsay demonstrating how to cook a certain dish.

  10. or swear you mean!

I have the Gordon Makes it Easy cook book and you get a free dvd on that where he cooks 4-6 of the recipes in the book to show you.

The recipes came out pretty good actually

  11. Argh.... I don't like that filthy mouthed pig! My opinion of him has only worsened since hearing about his "act of canniballism"!

  12. What have you been watching him in then? He cooks at some point in pretty much everythig he does... Kitchen Nightmares, F-word and previous things.

Do you think he's just pretending? Bloody good at it if he is... him pretending has got him numerous Michelin stars and made him quite a little empire!

His language, as some people have commented, is merely a reflection of the trade he works in... kitchens are fast and furious during service... if something as simple as a bit of bad language offends then it isnt the place for you, stay on the customer side, there will be a whole lot worse happening if the **** hits the fan. You hear as bad or worse everyday... if you don't, then you need to get out more.

  13. Yes brocolli soup

  14. he cooks on every episode of every show he's in jeez.

  15. He's a great entertainer and super chef.  Yes, I've seen him prepare meals - a little out there for me, but he's definitely a pro.

  16. What have you been watching, the guys got 13 Michelin Stars and he didn't get them for swearing. The man is uncouth, loud mouthed but the BEST chef on this earth, it's my ambition to eat at one of his restaurants
