  1. my mother is a qualified light aircraft pilot and has been flying for 24 years

  2. Yes.

I we have 2 in our company and my freinds wife is an F18 pilot in the airforce

  3. We have one in our area. She owns her own Citabria and flies a spray plane for a local crop dusting company. I haven't actually met her but I hear she's fairly easy on the eyes too.

  4. My daughter, daughter-in-law, my student pilot.

On a recent trip on AA, all co-pilots were female on the RJ. One had a turban hat similar to a wrapped headgear. Her takeoff was rather rough. Saw her at the bus stop; obviously an arab type.

My best student was a 40 yr old mother of another student. She went on to join the 99's and buy an Arrow. Flew all over the country.

  5. Yes

My girlfriend is a pilot, as am I.

  6. Of course.  About 10% of the pilots, at my last airline, were female.  There were always female students at the flight schools I worked at as well.

  7. yes I go to school with several female pilots. check out http://www.womenventure.org/ its got alot of info and its for girls.

  8. Yup, last year I told her to apply to one local airline and now she's an FO for the A320. She is still single and at 5'8" very beautiful. I wish i were young again...

  9. So as you see, we are around.  In fact, there are getting to be quite a few of us.  If you are asking for encouragement about your own career or personal interests, the answer is, Go For It!!!

  10. Yes, I know some very good female pilots. A couple of them were my instructors, a couple of them captains I flew with as copilot.

Flying is like any other craft that has a unique skillset. The gender of a person doesn't have much bearing on their ability to do it.

Being a fighter pilot is also "skillset; " but it has significant set of emotional requirements where one's gender MAY have significantly more impact, and impact a person's ability to perform the role.

  11. My mom.

Flew C-130s for the Canadian Air Force. Coast to Coast, even up to Yellowknife and Iqaluit. Also once to Africa. Several times to Europe and three transport flights to Afghanistan.
