Since I only got two answers I'm posting my question again.

I've just finished watching this documentary, which was passed on to me and I in turn feel the need to pass on, so If you care about our planet and the people living on it and haven't watch it yet, I think you should.

It's really eye-opening and at the same time inspiring, and in my opinion should be passed around to as many people as possible, so please watch it!

If you'd rather watch it on Google videos to be able to enlarge the picture, then simply type the Story of Stuff

http://video.google.com/

it's 21min long.

AND... for those of you who have seen it, what's your opinion on it? do you think that we can still change the old school of thought?...

  1. I have watched it and love it, but am rather dissatisfied with the way we have all been bamboozled in the first world.

PLUS we have exported GREED to the nations that are in the throes of up-grading and 'developing'.  How can we teach them that it was all done on a mistaken premise, which says "Stuff makes you happy!"

Stuff does NOT make you happy, or content.

There are spiritual ways to achieve contentment and my preference is Jesus and the God of the Bible.

My home town started a volunteer group for recycling, re-using and reducing.  I have become one of the leaders.  The Mayor is very supportive and bit by bit we can each make a marked difference.  I shop in my town, rarely visit the big city 30 mins away and try to be diligent in turning off unwanted lights etc.  Small by if we alllllll do these things, it will add up.

Well done you for putting the video here.

  2. Wow...why would the government let this happen?

  3. It's really good, just watched it. Gave you a star.

  4. weird, whats it all about?
