Have you seen the MIT press release about their photovoltaic hydrogen experiments?

MIT released an article in Science magazine on 7/31 that may revolutionize the energy industry in ten years. We may be able to generate hydrogen for our home and vehicle from back-yard solar panels under development. Google "MIT Photovoltaic Discovery".

MIT has also discovered new lower costs electrodes to use in making hydrogen. To me though I am alittle more excited about Penn state working with microbes to make hydrogen.

It's exciting.  It shows what a difference a little investment of time and energy can make.  I think we'll be seeing many more breakthroughs on the hydrogen front.

this is not new news. Power companies have known about this for a while and are looking into other alternative mass developments that would keep them in business.
