  1. Sickening.

  2. That's rather irnoic since in the majority of homes in the ME they dont even have or use toilet paper; they have a hose on the wall (in some of the bathrooms, not all) and use that instead so making a dog wear shoes is kind of amusing.

  3. The politically correct are the ones pushing this and not ordinary muslims. The politically correct will keep pushing their paranoid agenda until British society is totally fractured along cultural lines and ungovernable.

Ibrahim Mogra, one of Britain’s leading imams, said the measures were unnecessary: “In Islamic law the dog is not regarded as impure, only its saliva is. Most Islamic schools of law agree on that. If security measures require to send a dog into a house, then it has to be done. I think Acpo needs to consult better and more widely.

“I know in the Muslim community there is a hang-up against dogs, but this is cultural. Also, we know the British like dogs; we Muslims should do our bit to change our attitudes.”

John Midgley, co-founder of the Campaign Against Political Correctness, said: “The police are in effect being overly sensitive to potential criminals and not being sensitive enough to the public at large who need to be protected. These sort of things have a counter-productive effect because they cause huge friction between different communities.”

  4. Can naturists insist that any police searching their house go naked?

Any fuzz who want to search my house, must first walk to the end of my garden and kiss each of my 10 fur trees.  They all belong to Wodin and we just cannot allow Him to become upset just because the fuzz don't know who important this is for us Pagan wiccanists. . . .

Yes, on the whole I agree with the Muslims.  It's high time the fuzz learned respect for people's religious beliefs, however strange they may seem to us.

Dogs wear collars, so why not booties?

  5. What's the problem?  It's respectful. You believe in respecting other people don't you?

  6. This is YOUR favorite Show- is it? Hum! I guess there's NO accounting for Tastes...  :)

  7. There is only one word to cover this and that is pathetic. Why do we have to pander to every foreign religion. Britain is Christian not Muslim as far as I am aware seeing that the Queen is the head of the Church.

  8. What's your concern here? It's not like it costs a ton of money or the dogs are injured. It's much easier for police to do their jobs if they're not being distracted by someone who is screaming about their home is being desecrated by a dog.

I say chalk it up to cheap public relations and move on.

  9. I'm not Muslim but I don't like being sniffed by dogs either. They usually leave slobber on me and I'm sorry if it offends some people but I really don't like it.

  10. you got to be kidding why not just let the terrorists have there way an apologies for even trying to stop them!! bunch of c**p!!!

  11. The point is that institutions in Britain are too paranoid about being sued or upsetting anyone. This is not a Muslim issue, although plenty will see "Muslim" in the headline and allow the story to fan their own prejudices; likewise the anti-PC brigade who will claim that this is "PC gone mad",etc. The problem is actually too serious to allow these agendas to distort it.

The fact is this rule was brought about because ONE person complained about a POSTER. Recently, an advert for Heinz was pulled by the company itself because of complaints from obviously homophobic people who would complain about anything, rather than wait to find out if any broadcasting guidelines had been broken.

It's part of the same problem - kowtowing not to a particular religious or ethnic group, but kowtowing to fear itself.

  12. Gutless wonders. The UK must be in worse shape than it appears.
