Have you seen the movie"The Fire Next Time"?

It's an action drama about the effects of global warming. It shows what happens when a huge hurricane hits the Gulf Coast. The amazing thing is the movie was made in 1993!

This global warming 'debate' has raged for 20 years! Back then,the 'deniers' all screamed for more research before doing anything about it. Now that the proof is in,all they can do is make fun of old politicians,and come up with crazy ideas on why it's not happening,or how to stop it There is a term called "a sock puppet" That's when a person or a group get paid for posting false and inflammatory postings on the internet. They're worse than trolls! Usually it is used in political campaigns,but now it's used in the G.W. sec.! There is NO real scientific debate about the effects and existence of AGW! All there is, are fools ,and paid idiots that make wild claims in an effort to discredit any real discussion of AGW.

Time to wake up people! There isn't much more time to have silly arguments!

I saw the movie E.T. and people still debate the existence of Martians!  Can you imagine?  There was a movie, it has to be true!

How can people in this day not believe in space men?  There isn't any debate, the debate is settled.  People who argue against space creatures are just trolls expressing straw man arguments.

Right on! I learned about it in Geography 101 in the early 80s. But we have to remember, they KNOW but Don't CARE because they are GREEDY. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!

we all have to make changes to our lives. one day we will have to make our own food to survive. do we know how? i do. my dad and mom made sure to teach me how to grow food and to save seeds from what i had planted. i grow organic. i don't use any pesticides. i use ladybugs to protect my plants. there are no reasons why they can't debate on that subject. i think that they know that it is a debate that can be a long discussion.

I haven't seen that one.  Take whatever comfort you can in the knowledge that when the effects of climate change must be dealt with, the pain will be felt by all, regardless of whether they believe they had a hand in causing it or not.  

As for the "survivalists" who think they can ride out the storm, I like the line from David Brin's novel "The Postman" (which was a decent book regardless of the awful Costner movie) about how they died alone in their bunkers.
