Have you seen these things at the beach?

I was at the beach today, and I saw some teens hanging out by the shore (the water was 2 inches deep or so) and they were playing with these wooden boards (they were shaped like a surfbaord with two pointed ends, only rounder and shorter). They wood place them on the ground when the water came in and slide on them for a few feet and try to spin around. Do you know what these are and where I can get one?

Please help! It looks like a lot of fun, and i regret not being able to ask them about it. thanks so much in advance!

Skim boards, you can get them at most surf shops usually around $30-50, they are a lot of fun!

They're called skim boards. You can get them in Wal Mart for around $25, or in surf shops or online.
